Advantus supported Buro Happold in the development of the Oakland Energy Master Plan, a neighborhood-scale effort focused on reducing energy use and carbon emissions while improving resilience and informing the future of Oakland’s energy systems. The plan brought together major institutions, the City of Pittsburgh, utilities, and other stakeholders to evaluate existing conditions and identify strategies for long-term energy improvements.

As part of the consultant team, Advantus provided local sustainability and building performance expertise to support the planning process and evaluation of potential energy strategies.
