Advantus provided sustainability consulting and LEED coordination for Pittsburgh International Airport’s new 811,000-square-foot terminal, which achieved LEED Gold certification. Advantus was involved from early design through construction and certification, working with the design, construction, and operations teams to integrate sustainability goals throughout the project. Our work included LEED strategy and documentation, energy and water efficiency, materials and waste considerations, healthy indoor environmental quality, sustainable transportation and mobility strategies, and coordination of commissioning and other performance-related requirements.
Advantus also assisted with MEP construction administration services during construction of the new terminal. Our work included submittal and RFI review, site visits, field observations, project documentation, and coordination with the project team on MEP systems and construction issues. Advantus also assisted with commissioning activities as the terminal moved through testing, turnover, and operation.
