Advantus provides construction inspection and quality assurance services for the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority.

Advantus has provided a full-time construction inspector/engineer to Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) since 2018 for its Catch Basin Replacement projects. Our responsibilities include site inspection and record keeping for replacement crews. Advantus also acts as a representative for PWSA in identifying potential catch basin replacements, scheduling of work, PA One Call-submittal, site planning, documentation of work completed, safety review, quality assurance, report submittal, GPS data collection, restoration coordination, and closing surveys.

Advantus also led the GPS collection process to meet the specifications of PWSA’s new mapping protocol. Spectre Precision GPS technologies were utilized to record locations of repaired units and their connections with an accuracy within 2 cm. Working closely with PWSA and local government, Advantus was able to bring a high standard of record keeping and organization to the project, while ensuring safe and efficient work processes.
