Advantus provided energy assessment services for four wastewater treatment plants in western Pennsylvania, working as a subconsultant to Spotts, Stevens and McCoy. The assessments were completed with support and funding from the U.S. Department of Energy’s State Energy Program and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

Advantus evaluated energy use at each facility through site visits, utility and energy data analysis, and inventories of significant energy-consuming equipment. The work also included development of energy conservation measures and high-level evaluation of renewable energy opportunities. Advantus collaborated with the project team to prepare an energy assessment report for each facility.
